MPI-logo.jpgMPIMeeting Professionals International (MPI), the meeting and event industry’s most vibrant global community, helps its members thrive by providing human connections to knowledge and ideas, relationships, and marketplaces. MPI membership is comprised of more than 21,000 members belonging to 71 chapters and clubs worldwide. The CMU Chapter is one of only 13 university chapters in the world.  Numerous volunteer opportunities are available at the CMU chapter and on national and international levels as well.  Not only does MPI offer students the ability to build their career and increase their industry knowledge, but their time, expertise, and energy helps the meetings and events industry improve and grow as well.

The Student Recreation Association at Central Michigan University is a student organization established to provide to its members the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in recreation and leisure professions.  Our goal is to give students the opportunity to organize, plan, publicize and implement programs within the University and surrounding community.  The Student Recreation Association strives to provide professional enhancement through experience, education, interaction and volunteering to its members.
