A select number of half-time Graduate Assistantship (GAs) opportunities are available to counseling program students. Applications are available during in the spring semesters, followed by an interview process. Our GAs can expect to assist with ongoing research opportunities in collaboration with faculty members, the possibility of teaching an undergraduate course, major projects/department events, and general administrative functions.

Students enrolled in the Counseling Program at Central Michigan University are expected to know and use APA Formatting and Guidelines within their academic writing in all courses. Students are encouraged to purchase the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed).
