Costa Rica, Global Experience

​​​​​​Explore K-12 and higher education in the country of Costa Rica. 

Visit places like San Jose, Monteverde, and Guacimo. Participating schools include the University of Costa Rica, the University of Georgia Ecolodge in the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, and Earth University. 

Cost: $1,950 per person

Includes: 
  • Study abroad enrollment fee
  • Student international travel insurance 
  • Lodging
  • Meals 
  • Field trip fees
  • Coach transportation with a qualified driver and guide
  • Lecture and meeting places with site entry fees 

*Costs may be lower based on the number of participants. 

Tuition 
Students will need to enroll in either EDL 652 Global Education Studies (3 – 12 Credits) or EDL 752 Social Justice in Global Studies Education (1 – 12 Credits). Please consult with Dr. Mark Deschaine. 

Airfare 
You will book your flight on your own to and from San Jose (SJO). Please coordinate your flight schedule to arrive in San Jose (SJO) around 10 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 to connect with the pre-arranged ground transportation. Alternative ground transportation arrangements may be available. Please contact Dr. Mark Deschaine for assistance.
