Cecilia Alfaro received both the first place award and the viewer's choice award at the dis(ABLED) BEAUTY design competition. The competition celebrated the evolution of beauty, disability and ability through highly designed assistive devices, adaptive devices, and apparel for those living with disabilities.

Creative Accomplishments at the Student Research and Creative Endeavors Exhibition (SRCEE).

An honors student from Chicago, Dyese Matthews devoted her
research to fashion pioneer Lois K. Alexander-Lane, founder of the Black
