COVID UPDATE: We are open with limit hours on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
We have instituted many COVID protocols including:
mandatory mask requirements while in the facility
social distancing protocols
hand sanitizing stations
capacity/group size limits (per state and university orders)
wellness check proof through the University health app upon arrival
currently only open to University community members (students, faculty, and staff).
Stay tuned for updates as we continue following guidance from state and local health officials.
Rock
Climbing Wall
Central Michigan University's rock climbing wall provides limitless opportunities for individuals and groups interested in heart-stirring recreational experiences that promote fitness, b
oost self-esteem, and develop leadership skills. Located in the small gymnasium in Finch Fieldhouse (Room 112), the A-Wall is perfect for the beginning or experienced climber. The A-Wall is open to the public for regular Open Climbing sessions or may be reserved, along with the
High Ropes Course
, for team building programs, climbing workshops, and more.
Team Building Activities
Adventure Seminars offers a variety of team building initiatives to challenge and unite your group. Team building elements include: On the ground cooperative and initiative activities, including a carpet maze and all aboard. We also utilize a 12-foot initiative wall, pamper pole and Corporate ladder. Team building activities are only available for reserved groups.
Indoor High Ropes Course
Soaring high among the rafters and above the A-Wall rock climbing wall, the indoor high ropes course provides great opportunities for team building and training experiences for groups. Reservations for the indoor high ropes course experience are currently being accepted.

ahead of their visit. To speed your access to the wall, feel free to download the informed consent form, and fill it out ahead of your visit. Please bring the waiver with you when you arrive at the Climbing Wall. Waivers are valid from the time of signing until the following year.

Adventure Seminars
We will be continually evaluating our procedures and gear rental policies as we navigate the pandemic and follow guidance from health officials and industry standards as they relate to our rental procedures.
