Careers in therapeutic recreation
Graduates from this program must take and pass the national Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) exam to practice as professionals in the field.  Therapeutic Recreation Specialists work with people who have special needs because of illness or disabilities.

Students complete 15 or 30 week internships as a capstone experience to their academic career.  Internships take place all over the county and provide extremely valuable opportunities to gain professional skill​s and build networks of professional contacts.
