Professor Tanya Domina is a professor of fashion
merchandising and design at Central Michigan University whose teaching focuses
on computer-aided-design technology. She was part of the founding faculty team
who built the Center for Merchandising & Design Technology at CMU. Their work has included studies for national
basketball, hockey and baseball teams as well as hospitals, bedding
manufacturers, automotive and other companies designing and evaluating functional
apparel and textiles. Her area of research has most recently focused on thermal
profiling to design next-to-skin garments that are mass customized by function
as well as by fit.
