CTE Program Completers
CMU will award university credit for EDU 107 to students who complete the MDE-CTE Education Program provided:
The candidate earns a
minimum grade of B
(3.0 out of a 4.0 scale) on all 12 segments of the Education program and
Takes all three sections of the
Professional Readiness Exam
(MDE MTTC Exam Code 096).
All academic policies outlined in the CMU Bulletin effective when the student matriculates at CMU will apply.
Upon your first semester at CMU, call 989-774-3309 or stop in to EHS 421 to schedule an appointment with Shannon Ebner, Assistant Director of Professional Education, and bring a copy of your high school transcripts.
In order to apply the free credit, students must:
Meet all admission criteria
for CMU at the time of application
Apply and be admitted to CMU within five (5) years of the completion of the Education Program
Successfully complete a minimum of
twelve (12) semester hours
at CMU in one semester before course credit for EDU 107 can be applied to their Bachelor of Science in Education degree
Request substitution of the CTE Education Program for EDU 107 through the Education and Human Services Center for Student Services
in EHS 421
