Northwestern Michigan College Partnership Program
Traverse City’s Northwestern Michigan College (NMC) and CMU offer a teacher preparation program for individuals in the northern Michigan area to become certified elementary (grades K-8) teachers. The program provides NMC students the option to take CMU courses to complete a B.S. in Elementary Education with an integrated science major.
CMU and Mid Michigan College Pathway Programs for Teacher Education
Mid Michigan College (MMC) and CMU offer pathway programs for individuals who start at the community college and plan to transfer to CMU to become a certified elementary (grades K-8) or secondary (grades 6-12) teacher. The program provides MMC students the opportunity to earn their associate degree and transfer to CMU to earn a B.S. in Education.
Lansing Community College Partnership Program
Lansing Community College (LCC) and CMU offer a teacher preparation program for individuals in the Lansing area to become certified elementary (grades K-8) teachers. The program provides LCC students the option to take CMU courses to complete a B.S. in Elementary Education with an Early Child Development and Learning major. All LCC and CMU courses are delivered by departmental-approved faculty in the Lansing area and on-line. All completed courses and program requirements result in the B.S. in Education degree from CMU and a recommendation for the Michigan Provisional Elementary teaching certificate.
