Teacher Education Application Review

After you have verified (using your Student Information Sheet) you have completed all of the requirements for admission to the teacher education program, you must fill out this form by 5:00pm September 6th to begin the review process. 

If you are admitted to teacher education you will receive your acceptance letter by September 20, 2019 with your next steps.

**All admission requirements must be met prior to submitting this form**

Admission Requirements:
  • Submitted application
  • Completed EDU 107 with a "B" or higher
  • Submitted Technical Standards Form
  • 3.0 or higher CMU Cumulative GPA (*see below)
  • Completed ENG 101 or ENG 201 with a "B-" or higher (**see below)
  • Completed 45 credits (either through CMU or another accredited institution)
  • Declared my teachable major and/or minor with a faculty advisor

*If you do not have a CMU GPA at this time, your last institution transcripts must be a 3.0 or higher.

**If you took the CLEP or AP that will count as a "B-" or higher. If you transferred the equivalency of ENG 101 and/or ENG 201 to CMU, then one of them must be a "B-" or higher for admission to teacher education.
