Circulation Policy

Curriculum Resources Circulation and Loan Policies

7 day items: KIMC Kits, charts, models, puppets, games, audio books, video/DVDs, standardized tests or any other instructional resources may be checked out for 7 days.

3 day items: Some video and a limited number of kits may be checked out for 3 days. Check with office staff if unsure of circulation length.​

2 day items: Any EHS Technology Operations equipment checked out from the KIMC will be checked out for two days.
In-Room-Use only:

Faculty Reserve Materials may only be utilized in the KIMC. These are resources that the faculty member has put on reserve at the KIMC front desk for curricular support in their classes. Any exception to the "in-room-use only" rule, must be given in writing by the faculty member. Journals or other Reference materials do not circulate and are for in-room-use only. This includes the Middle School Journals that have been put on Reserve.

Overdue and Replacement Policies:
  • All overdue notices and billings are processed through the University Library and Student Account Services and University Billing.
  • You will receive e-mail reminders that your materials are due, as well as notification when you have been billed for overdue or missing material.
  • To avoid further notifications and /or library fines, please return or renew the items(s) by their due date.
  • Any item that has not been returned or renewed by the due date will be charged a nonrefundable $5.00 overdue fine. 
    If you do not return or renew the overdue item(s) immediately upon the overdue notification, you will be charged, for each item, a nonrefundable 15.00 processing fee and a replacement charge equal to the library purchase price.
  • If the purchase price is unknown, you will be charged, for each item, the processing fee, overdue fine and a $60.00 replacement charge.
  • The replacement charge may be adjusted based on current replacement cost.
Failure to receive notifications does not cancel fines.
