Task Force Subgroups Members and Charge
Assessment Subgroup
The goal of this group
is to uncover the existing assessment requirements as well as to provide best
practices on assessing learning and programs and to provide best practices on
incorporating data-driven decision making in the curriculum. The leader of this
group is Shane Cavanaugh.
Clinical Experiences Subgroup
The goal of this group
is to uncover the existing assessment requirements as well as to provide best
practices on assessing learning and programs and to provide best practices on

Coursework/Program Structure Subgroup
The task of this group
is to suggest new possibilities for shortening the program through innovative
coursework integrations in the content areas, keeping in consideration
assessment, interdisciplinary/UP/WI/QR requirements. This group's leader is
Renee Papelian. Resource staff for this team will include Shannon Ebner.
Diversity and Global Experiences Subgroup
This groups task is to
uncover best practices associated with helping our students understand the
diversity of students they will experience as well as where and how that
learning takes place in the program. This group should also consider a global
focus, "worldliness". The leader of this group is Amy Ford. Resource
faculty/staff may include Rich Forest, Margui Terrill, Cathy Hicks, and Norma Bailey.
Selectivity Subgroup
This group will
investigate criteria to be used for admission, advising, and continual
assessment of students, with the eventual goal of mapping these criteria to the
new structure. This group's leader is Megan Goodwin. Resource staff for this
team will include Tim Campbell and Shannon Ebner.
Technology Subgroup
The purpose of this
group is to investigate best practices associated with helping our students
understand how technology can be used to support learning and where and how
that learning takes place in the program. The leader of this group is Denny St.
John. Resource faculty may include Mike DeSchryver and Kathryn Dirkin.
