Application Workshop FAQs
As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Central Michigan University College of Medicine will not be hosting Application Workshops on our Mount Pleasant Campus. In an effort to provide new and unsuccessful applicants with feedback on their application, we have developed a Self-Assessment Guide that will help you assess your experiences and preparedness for the medical school application process. Our website also provides more information about what we look for in an applicant.
If you are an unsuccessful applicant and intend to reapply to CMU, please download a copy of the Self-Assessment guide. This guide was designed to help you better assess your readiness as an applicant and help identify areas that need improvement. If you would like to receive general feedback on your application from our office you must meet the following:
- Have completed and submitted the Self-Assessment Guide
- Have been rejected from all other medical schools
- Have not yet submitted an AMCAS application for the next cycle (or are active in the current cycle)
If you meet the above requirements, you can submit your Self-Assessment Guide via email to
Please understand demand for feedback will be very high and it may take several weeks for the Admissions Office to provide you with general application feedback.
