Dual-campus Model

CMU College of Medicine provides medical education for students on two campuses located in Mount Pleasant and Saginaw, Michigan. Our dual campus model spans the Great Lakes Bay region providing a unique perspective to students and creating opportunities to connect and collaborate with a regional view and state-wide perspective.

Mount Pleasant Campus Building

First and second year students learn foundational sciences, participate in research and develop essential clinical skills on our Mount Pleasant campus. Our students form life-long bonds with their fellow medical students, connect to the University and its diverse culture, and work on volunteer projects to improve lives and build our community.

Saginaw Education Building

The majority of third and fourth year students transition to our Saginaw campus to complete hospital-based clinical clerkships and electives. These students gain clinical experience working within two regional teaching hospitals as they continue their medical education. The College of Medicine's Saginaw campus also provides exposure to advanced medical simulation, an experienced faculty, and seven ACGME accredited residency programs.
