ACGME Accredited Fellowship Opportunities
Thank you very much for your interest in our fellowship programs here in Saginaw, Michigan. We have a long-standing commitment to residency training with our first program starting more than 70 years ago. In the past decade, we have started fellowship programs to expand upon the outstanding graduate medical education we have in our community. You will find our sub-specialty fellowship programs focus on individualized training with nationally renowned faculty preceptors tied to the growing Central Michigan University College of Medicine.
Emergency Medical Services Fellowship
The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship is the path to becoming an EMS physician and expert in pre-hospital emergency medical care. Operated jointly by the Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine EMS Fellowship and the Saginaw-Tuscola Medical Control Authority (STMCA), the synergy created by the two organizations gives Fellows a range of opportunities and experiences in emergency medical systems.
Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
The CMU Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program is new. It received its initial accreditation from ACGME, and will have its first class of fellows starting July 1, 2019. It has been approved for 6 positions, three spaces in each of the two years required for a fellow to earn board eligibility. As a work in progress, our program presents an unusual opportunity for fellows themselves to shape the program. Although we have thought long and hard about how best to train fellows by taking advantage of local talent and resources, we have no doubt that you will shape the final products.
