Fermentation Science @ CMU

The certificate in Fermentation Science program at CMU is a 16 credit program designed to be completed in one year. The program is open to both degree seeking and non-degree seeking students who have been accepted to CMU. Two local businesses, Mountain Town Brewing Co. and Hunter's Ale House, are key partners in the Fermentation Science Program.

Tiffany Davidson Milling Grain"When I was admitted for the 2017-2018 Fermentation Science cohort, I never realized how life-changing it would be. The program gave me hands-on training in the tests and processes involved with producing great fermented beverages in both the laboratory and the brewery, provided me with the opportunity to intern with Midland Brewing Company during Summer 2018 and ultimately helped me to achieve me dream job with Old Nation Brewing Company. My love of homebrewing turned into a passion for the craft brewing industry. I cannot recommend this program, Dr. Demattei, and CMU enough!
