Land and Environment
Land and Environment for Third Grade was developed around a series of posters that were used with some of the original Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support (MEECS) project units. These posters include: Michigan's Water World; Michigan's Human World; Michigan's Land Stewardship and Land Use/Land Cover; Michigan's Land, Air and Water; and Michigan's Energy Resources. The activities, based on some original MEECS units, are written at a third grade level, and include information needed to appreciate the value, importance, and vulnerability of Michigan's land, water, and natural resources. the are designed to teach third grade science and social studies Grade Level Content Expectations.
