 This workshop discussed how to check the assumptions for 2-samples t-test, paired t-test and one-way ANOVA test and what are the alternative tests if the required assumptions are violated? We discussed the difference among those methods and when to use which one, the steps in implementing those methods in SPSS and the interpretation of the results.

Processing CDC Data Sets

 This workshop introduced how to analyze national survey data BRFSS from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC). National survey data are popular among researchers who are doing secondary data analysis. The researchers use the national survey data to answer their research questions without collecting their own data. Since those national survey data were collected through complex surveying plans, it is necessary to consider “weights” when conducting statistical analysis. The workshops discussed how to account for “weights” in analyzing those national survey data. The statistical analysis was implemented using SAS.

Multiple Linear Regression
