July 8-13, 2012
Sunday, 5:00 PM through Friday, 5:00 PM

High school students attending the ATCG Forensic Summer Camp will receive extensive hands-on exposure to the techniques used in forensic analysis of biological materials.

As a student, you will learn to extract DNA, create DNA fingerprints, produce DNA sequences and identify hair using electron and light microscopy.

The 5-day residential camp is comprised of classroom activities in the morning followed by  hands-on experience in the labs during the afternoon. With only 20 students per session and three instructors, you will have significant amounts of one-on-one interactions with your instructors.

The last two days of camp are devoted to collection of evidence from a mock crime scene, analysis of the evidence and a mock trial.
