Welcome to the Accessibility and Disability Advisory Council home page!
Central Michigan University is committed to a culture that values diversity and supports full access and inclusion of individuals with disabilities. We believe this contributes to a richer learning environment that prepares our students for an increasingly complex and diverse society. Under the guidance of the Office of Student Disability Services and the Accessibility and Disability Advisory Council, the university continually strives to maintain and improve access to programs and services.
The Director of Disability Services, in conjunction with members of the ADAC, work with individual offices across campus and individuals to ensure effective communication with applicants, participants, members of the public and companions with disabilities are involved and have sufficient means of communication to gain equal access to participate and enjoy the benefits of a service, a program or activity of the University.
The Advisory Council is committed to providing equal and appropriate access on campus. If you are aware of a situation, location, policy or incident that you feel inhibits access or disproportionately impacts individuals with disabilities, please let us know. We will do our best to resolve the situation.
