General Management major

Hometown: Adrian, Mich.

Outgoing personality. Creative mind. A basement woodshop. The result? “Ford Boards” skateboards.

Brad’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to CMU’s New Venture Competition, where he learned strategies to support his real-life business.

Talking the talk. “CMU has presented many opportunities for me to interact with great people, further boosting my interpersonal skills, which in my opinion is one of the most important skills one can have.”

Bleeding maroon and gold. “My parents are both CMU alumni, and I’ve had multiple cousins, aunts and uncles who’ve all been Chippewas, as well as my brother. I guess you could say I was groomed to be a Chippewa.”

Hands-on experience. “The core business project is a comprehensive growth strategy where students essentially write a business plan for a major company that would in theory generate revenue. I was the leader, so I had to get to know each of my members and their strengths and weaknesses. I successfully led the team to an ‘A.’”
