Yes. CMU has courses that start at various times throughout the summer. The final group of classes begin June 28, 2021.
New first-year students will follow the 2020-2021 bulletin for summer 2021. Transfer students should work with their academic advisor to determine the academic bulletin which best aligns with their specific situation.
If you drop a course and your enrollment falls below the required minimum of 3 credits, then the full award will be removed from your student account.
If CMU cancels a course, reach out to your academic advisor to explore alternative options based on your academic program. If no replacement is found and your enrollment drops below 3 credits, the award will be removed from the student account and payments received (if applicable) will be refunded to the student.
There is no requirement to attend CMU in the fall.
You will save up to $750.

The first summer aid disbursement is expected on May 14. However, if your classes do not start until June 28, your aid will not disburse until about 10 days before your classes start.

Tuition for courses enrolled by May 1 will be due by June 1 before 5:00 pm.
Tuition for courses enrolled between May 2 and June 1 will be due by July 1 before 5:00 pm.
Tuition for courses enrolled after June 1 will be due by August 1 before 5:00 pm.

Financial aid eligibility for the summer 2021 session is separate from the 2021-2022 fall/spring financial aid package. However, the award may affect your eligibility for summer 2021 work study.
New and transfer students who meet the eligibility requirements and have not been packaged for summer financial aid will see the Summer Extra Credit Award added to their summer financial aid package about 10-14 business days after enrolling in a summer course. Students will receive a revised award notification in their CMU email.
