The resident may terminate the family housing or faculty/staff apartment by filing a written 45-day notice of their intent to vacate in the Office of Residence Life. The university may terminate the contract by giving 30 days written notice to the occupant.
The Office of Residence Life sends each resident an Intent Form to determine their future occupancy plans. The Apartment Supervisor contacts each resident before October 30 for the spring semester and before March 30 for the summer and fall sessions. The information that the resident provides at that time is official.
Any change in plans to the contrary must be submitted in writing to the Office of Residence Life; however, if the apartment has been reassigned, no concession will be made.
Failure to vacate on the designated date shall result in a charge of $30.00 per day for each day occupant fails to vacate.
