​​The selection process for MA and RA positions is very demanding.  Please review the following timeline.  ​The timeline identifies those components that have specific day/time requirements as well as additional responsibilities that new staff members have in advance of stepping into the position​.



November 1 , 2017  – WednesdayOnline application process  available on the Residence Life website; Positional Processing Scheduling Available around December 1.

November 2, 2017 – Thursday Prospective Staff Night #1, 7pm-9pm in the UC Rotunda

November 22, 2017 – WednesdayApplications due by noon for students studying abroad/Interning Spring 2018

December 3, 2017 – ThursdayProspective Staff Night #2, 7pm-9pm in the UC Rotunda

November 29 - December 11, 2017  Interviews take place for spring study abroad/internship applicants

January 3, 2018 – Wednesday

New Staff Training for January Hires begins at 8am - tentative 

January 10, 2018 – WednesdayProspective Staff Night #3, 7pm-9 pm in the UC Rotunda

January 15, 2018   – MondayApplications due by noon online.  Note: RA and MA positions require separate applications.

January 25, 2018 – ThursdayPositional Processing! 8am-5pm - tentative

January 31 - February 9, 2018MA Interviews take place. Interest Forms due 8am February 12th ; MA Draft February 13th; Offers made around February 15th!

RA Interviews take place. Interest Forms due 6pm February 25 ; RA Draft and Free Agents determined February 26 ;  Offers made around March 1nd!

Free Agent Meeting, 1pm-2pm and
New Staff Orientation, 2pm-5pm **Required for all new staff and free agents​


August 9-10, 2018 – Thursday/FridayNew Staff Training - Required of all new staff

Having individual meetings with the RHD
Shadowing staff on duty nights
Working on bulletin boards and door decorations for the Fall
