The selection process for Inclusion Assistant and Resident Assistant positions is very demanding.  Please review the following timeline.  The timeline identifies those components that have specific day/time requirements as well as additional responsibilities that new staff members have in advance of stepping into the position.  

November 1 , 2018  – Thursday
Online application process available on the Residence Life website; 
Prospective Staff Night #1, 7pm-9pm in the UC Rotunda

November 18, 2018 – Sunday
Prospective Staff Night #2, 7pm-9pm in the UC Rotunda

November 21, 2018 – Wednesday
Applications due by noon for students studying abroad or Interning in Spring 2019; Students who are sophomore status and are willing to be considered for Spring 2019 vacancies are encouraged to apply by this date

November 28 - December 10, 2018  
Interviews take place for spring study abroad/internship applicants

December 3, 2018 - Monday 
Positional Processing Scheduling Available

January 2, 2019 – Wednesday
New Staff Training for January Hires begins 

January 9, 2019 – Wednesday
Prospective Staff Night #3, 7pm-9 pm in the UC Rotunda

January 11, 2019  – Friday
Applications due by midnight online.  
Note: Resident Assistant and Inclusion Assistant positions require separate applications.

January 24, 2019 – Thursday
Positional Processing! 8am-5pm - tentative

January 25, 2019 – Friday

Candidates are notified between 4-5pm via email regarding status.

February 4 - thru 5pm on Sunday, Feb 24
Resident Assistant and Inclusion Assistant Interviews take place. Interest Forms due 6pm February 24; 

February 28 – Thursday
Resident Assistant and Inclusion Assistant offers made around 5pm

March 15 and 22, 2019 - Fridays 
1pm-5pm: New Staff Orientation - Required for all new staff and free agents

April 12, 2019 - Friday
1pm-5pm - New Staff Training - Required for all new staff and free agents

August 8-9, 2019 – tentative
New Staff Training - Required for all new staff

August 11-21, 2019 – tentative
Staff Training - Required for all staff 



Post–Offer Expectations Include:

Attending New Staff Orientation/Staff Training sessions

Complete Learning in Community and other training assignments

Attending staff meetings

Having individual meetings with the RHD

Shadow staff on duty nights

Work on bulletin boards and door decorations for the Fall

Attend hall council meeting(s)
