Who Should Attend Leadership Safari?

All students interested in becoming familiar with CMU, getting involved and meeting new people!

Register early as we have limited room!

Those of you who have been accepted into the Health Professions Residential College, Education and Human Services Residential College, Business Residential College, selected as a Multicultural Advancement Scholar, Multicultural Award of Distinction, or Cofer Scholar, are REQUIRED to attend Leadership Safari. You are NOT, however, automatically registered because of your affiliation with these programs. You must still register to reserve your slot with the conference.

If you are living in the Public Service Residential Community, or the First Year Learning Community, you are not required to attend Safari; however, it's highly recommended and ENCOURAGED as part of those programs.

If you are registering to move-in early, please understand that it is MANDATORY for you to attend all scheduled sessions and activities (including filling out the final evaluation due by August 21st online). If you miss any events, you will be asked to pay the conference fee of $400 (which includes the $125 registration fee).

Our schedule is tightly packed, so there is little time for any of outside activities. Please note that there are special CMU Bookstore hours available on Saturday and Sunday, just for Leadership Safari™ participants. We would encourage you to order your text books early online.

While you will be quite busy from Sunday to Wednesday evening, come Thursday when the rest of campus is arriving and moving in, you will have at least two days of free time to get to know the rest of your classmates and attend Campus and Community Life Orientation, all without the fuss of fighting for elevators, parking, or the mass chaos of move-in day.
