2019 Leadership Camp Staff!

Alexx Delzer- Facilitator

Alexx is a super senior, originally from Aberdeen, SD and recently from Midland, MI, double majoring in English and Secondary Education with a Creative Writing Certification. Alexx is one of our PINK Campus Representatives and the future president of Scooters and Squares, which is a new RSO coming to campus fall 2019. As a former camper, Alexx is excited about being a part of camp for her third year as a facilitator.


Anna Dean- Facilitator

Anna is a junior, from Rochester Hills, MI majoring in Political Science and History with a minor in Leadership. She is involved in Alpha Sigma Tau, Register Educate Vote, College Republicans, Honors Program, a LAS Scholar, Turning Point USA, College Volunteers Facilitators Corps, Campus Vote Project, Skate for Change, and Student Government. She's excited to watch participants develop and grow to understand how important social change can be made on this campus and in their communities.


Austen Mast- Facilitator

Austen is a senior from Birmingham, MI, majoring in psychology with a minor in management. Austen is a Resident Assistant, a campus ambassador and a peer involvement advisor. He is excited for Leadership Camp because it showcases a small piece of all the things Central Michigan University has to offer for students.


CC Shoemaker- 2.0 Facilitator

CC is a first-year graduate student from Livonia, MI.  She majored in Psychology and Kinesiology and is now in the School Psychology Master's program. She is currently an advisor of the PINK campus team, a graduate teaching assistant, and is a member of the Student Association of School Psychologists on campus. CC also attended Camp twice and loves empowering others to make change while creating lifetime bonds!


Cat Hall- Facilitator

Cat is a super senior from Bay City, MI, majoring in Human resource Management with a minor in Legal Studies. On campus, Cat is involved as a business services assistant in the park library, conference assistant for camps and conferences, Leadership Safari Guide, club tennis, and Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority. Cat is excited to create new memories and experience the family atmosphere of camp.


Cate Bova- Facilitator

Cate is a sophomore from Romeo, MI, majoring in Kinesiology to pursue a career in Pediatric Physical Therapy. On campus, Cate has been involved with Best Buddies and intramural basketball. Cate is excited for leadership camp because she cannot wait to inspire and be inspired by the growth that occurs when living out the Social Change Model and stepping into your purpose as a leader.


Derek Ostrowski- Facilitator

Derek is a sophomore from St. Clair Shores, MI, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in community health. On campus Derek is involved with Leadership Safari, Health profession residential college, St. Jude's, and SAE Fraternity. Also, on campus, Derek works at a Reslife Fitness Center. Derek attended Leadership Camp twice as a participant and is excited to build relationships and the impact camp has on the campers.


Erin Horn- Facilitator

Erin is a Senior from St. Clair Shores, MI, majoring in Physical Anthropology and minoring in biology. On campus Erin has been involved on the swim team, anthropology club, marching band, Legends of the Dark, and a facilitator for Leadership Camp. Erin is glad to be part of a team intending on doing something for the betterment of others and supplying them with the tools to continue this cycle for both those around them and their communities.


Gina Weaver- Facilitator

Gina is a senior from Big Rapids, MI, majoring in Special Education. Gina is involved with KDP and Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates (SAPA). In the past, Gina was a Resident Assistant for two years in the towers. She would explain that although she grew up in Big Rapids, her heart is in the UP. This is Gina's third year working with Leadership Camp and she loves nothing more than The Social Change Model of Leadership and is excited for camp this year!


Hailey Brown- Facilitator

Hailey is a senior from White Lake, MI, majoring in BioMedical Sciences with a minor in Community Health. Hailey is involved in Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, the Health Careers Pipeline Program, Leadership Safari, and of course Leadership Camp. Her favorite part of LCamp is watching campers grow through their exploration of the Social Change Model of Leadership and she is excited to support them through this process.


Hannah Sawdon- Facilitator

Hannah is a senior from Bad Axe, MI, majoring in both philosophy and religion with a minor in ethics, values and society and a certificate in critical reasoning. While at CMU Hannah has been involved as a desk receptionist, and a tutor for student athletic services. As a facilitator Hannah is excited for Leadership Camp for the opportunity to have an impact on and hopefully guide high school students to have an amazing experience and introduce them to CMU.


Jack Hallauer- Facilitator

Jack is a senior from Westland, MI, majoring in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts with a minor in Journalism. On campus Jack is involved in MHTV, CMU's student-run television station. As a former camper and returning Facilitator, Jack's favorite thing about Leadership Camp is the opportunity to make new connections and to become a stronger leader.


Jose Embil- Facilitator

Jose is a sophomore from Three Rivers, MI, majoring in Geography with a concentration in Land Use Planning and Geographic Information Science, with a minor in Fashion Design. Jose has been involved with Hermanos Para Unidad and a Marching Chip. They are also a Multicultural Advancement Scholar. Jose is most excited to be able to meet new people and gain new perspectives on leadership and social change.


Kashmir Preston- Facilitator

Kashmir is a junior from Detroit, MI, majoring in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts with a minor in Journalism. Kashmir is involved on campus in Have Your Point Expressed (HYPE), Collective Action for Cultural Unity (CACU) and works at the POD. Kashmir is excited for Camp because as a participant her senior year of high school leadership camp gave her the ability to learn, grow and feel confident in herself. Kashmir hopes that she can inspire participants to experience those same things!


Kendall Dawson- Facilitator

Kendall is a graduating senior from Mount Prospect, IL, majoring in Communication with a minor in English. Kendall has plans to continue her education and attend graduate school. While on campus Kendall was a campus ambassador, member of communication association, and a resident assistant for three years in the Towers. Kendall is excited for her first experience with Leadership Camp and cannot wait to help others start making an impact on the community.


Kerisa Rascoe- 2.0 Facilitator

Kerisa is a senior from Essexville, MI, majoring in Neuroscience and minors in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Leadership and American Sign Language. Kerisa is a member of The David Garcia Project, Pre-Physician Assistant Club, College Volunteer Facilitator Corps, LAS Scholar and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority and recent member of the Marching Chips and ResLife! Kerisa loves that Camp allows everyone to be their true and complete selves while learning how to create social change.


Logann Poley- Facilitator

Logann is a Junior from Grass Lake, MI, majoring in Public and Nonprofit Administration with minors in Community Health and Leadership. Along with Leadership Camp, Logann is involved with the Nonprofit Leadership Student Alliance, a member of Zeta Theta Pi, and is also an Honors Program student. As a previous LCamp attendee, Logann loves the inclusion, positive environment, and empowerment that is shown by camp.


Madison Thayer- Facilitator

Madison is a Junior from Macomb, MI, majoring in both business marketing and psychology. While on campus, Madison is a Hall Council Advisor, a desk receptionist, and Sexual Aggression Peer Advocates (SAPA). This year will be her second year as a Leadership Camp Facilitator, and she cannot wait to get to know the campers and guide them in learning the Social Change Model of Leadership Development as well as grow her own knowledge.


Maggie Voisin- 2.0 Facilitator

Maggie is a super senior from Mount Pleasant, MI, majoring in Child Development with a minor in Youth Studies. She is a Resident Assistant, a Leadership Safari Guide and a member on the women's club volleyball team. Maggie is excited to be a 2.0 facilitator to welcome back former campers and dive deeper into the Social Change Model, and then watch those campers change the world!


Natalie Rollinger- 2.0 Facilitator

Natalie is a junior from Farmington Hills, MI, majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology. Some of her involvements at CMU have been Women in Technology, Leadership Safari, and Intramural Sports. Natalie is excited to be a part of Leadership Camp to educate students on the important of leadership and how they can use the skills they learn at camp in their own communities, while looking forward to meeting and working with potential new CMU students and future leaders.


Renae Latoski- Facilitator

Renae is a senior from Merrill, MI, majoring in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services with a concentration in Event Management and minors in Leadership and Management. While at CMU, Renae has been involved with Future Alumni Ambassadors, Women's Club Rugby, University Recreation, Gus Macker, and the DCP. Renae's favorite part of camp is learning how to apply the model in new ways and being around people that inspire her to make change.


Tyler Lajiness- Facilitator

Tyler is a Senior from Kalamazoo, MI, majoring in photojournalism. Tyler is a member of an Intermural Floor Hockey team, VS PINK event photographer, and works as a photo editing assistant on campus. Tyler is excited to meet all the new campers and to be with his favorite people again! He loves the lasting relationships that he is able to take with him far beyond camp.


Lyndsy Allmacher- Coordinator

Lyndsy is a fifth year from Northville, MI, majoring in special education with a concentration in cognitive impairments. At CMU, Lyndsy has been involved with Greek Life and Student Council for Exceptional Children. Lyndsy will be student teaching in Westland next year. Her goal is to attend law school and become an advocate for bettering the education system within politics. Lyndsy was a camper and believes that Leadership Camp has had a great hand in helping to form her belief and values, while giving her lifelong friends.


Payton Shatney- Coordinator

Payton is a graduating senior from Grand Rapids, MI, majoring in Interior Design with a minor in Event Management. While at CMU, Payton has been involved as a Resident Assistant, Inclusion Assistant, desk receptionist, National Residence Hall Honorary and the Interior Design Student Organization. As a former camper and facilitator, Payton is excited to meet the new leaders, and be in a space that is authentic and genuine.
