2016 Leadership Camp Staff!


Adam Patla – Facilitator

Adam is a recent CMU graduate from Crestwood, Illinois! While here at CMU, he studied Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts/Media Design, Production, and Technology.  During his time on campus, he was a Resident Assistant in Celani Hall, a brother of Phi Sigma Pi, and a camera man for News Central 34! He also participates in Latern Theatre back in Illinois.

Alyssa June – Facilitator

Alyssa is from St. John's, Michigan! She will be a senior this upcoming year and her major is Exercise Science with minors in Leadership and psychology.  Alyssa has been heavily involved in Alternative Breaks, Leadership Safari, and Sigma Sigma Sigma. She's also a member of the Leadership Advancement Scholars.

Amy Walling – Facilitator

Amy is a senior who is coming to you live from Big Rapids, Michigan! She is a music education major with plans to be a teacher once she graduates. At CMU, she is involved in the Chippewa Marching Band, Delta Omicron professional music fraternity, American Choral Director's Association, and Chamber Singers.

Becca Hillyard – 2.0 Facilitator

Becca is a super awesome super senior this year from Grand Rapids, Michigan! She is going into Special Education for the elementary setting. She's a member of Colleges Against Cancer that puts on CMU's annual Relay for Life event, the Association for Educating Young Children, and Celebrate Literacy – International Literacy Association. She is also a former RA from Cobb Hall.

CC Shoemaker – Facilitator

Coming from Livonia, Michigan is CC, a junior here at CMU. She is studying Kinesiology and Psychology! Her involvements include the Honors Program, intramural sports, HHSS committee chair, and a member of the Pre-PA club!

Jazz McGarrah – Facilitator
Jazz is a junior from the noble city of Big Rapids, Michigan! She is so incredibly excited to be here at Leadership Camp with you all! At CMU, she is involved as a Multicultural Advancement Scholar and is part of Spark Leadership.

Jessika Brown – 2.0 Facilitator

Jess is a stellar senior from Martin, Michigan. She studies Community Recreation and Event Management, Communications, and Outdoor & Environmental Education! She is a member of the sorority, Phi Mu, participates in Alternative Breaks, and is, of course, part of Leadership Camp!

Jomi Ogunfiditimi – Facilitator

Jomi hails from the beautiful location of Northville, Michigan! He is studying Sociology and Economics here at CMU and is currently a junior. When it comes to being involved on campus, Jomi's main commitment is the fraternity, Sigma Pi.

Kendra Coons – Facilitator

Kendra is from Cedar Springs, Michigan, and is a junior here at CMU. She is studying Recreation & Event Management, along with Communications and Leadership. She is  a Resident Assistant in Woldt Hall, an SGA representation for the fraternity Phi Sigma Pi, an AREP member, and the FEW Hall Council Staff Liaison.

Kristen Cody – Facilitator

Hailing from Fenton, Michigan, Kristen is a junior. She spends her time studying Integrated Public Relations and Cultural & Global Studies! She is a Resident Assistant in Thorpe Hall and a member of the RSO Young Life.

​Lyndsy Allmacher – Facilitator

Lyndsy is a junior from Northville, Michigan. She is double majoring in Special Education and Sign Language. She can be found around campus at the SAC helping out with URec, the SCEC, or as the historian for the sorority Zeta Tau Alpha.

Matt Belanger – Facilitator

Matt is an Elementary Education major from Alpena, Michigan. He is a junior at CMU and involved in many different areas on campus. While at CMU, he spends his time being a member of Pi Kappa Phi, helping out as Sweeney Hall Council Treasurer, participating in Alternative Breaks, and acting as a Leadership Safari Guide.

Nicholas Maki – Facilitator

Nick is a junior from Chatham, Michigan! He is majoring in Recreation and Event Management with a minor in Hospitality. Nick​ is a Resident Assistant in Herrig Hall, Sexual Aggression Peer Advocate, and` a member of NRHH and AREP.

Olivia Wagner – Facilitator

Olivia is a senior from Louisville, Kentucky. She is a member of the Field Hockey team on campus. She is majoring in Outdoor Recreation with minors in Environmental Studies and International Business Sustainability.

Pam Henning – Facilitator

Pam is a junior from Grandville, Michigan. She is a Psychology and Family Studies double major. Pam is the Vice President of Sweeney Hall Council, a member of the Education and Human Services Residential College, a member of Delta Phi Epsilon, and participates in Alternative Breaks.

Payton Shatney – Facilitator

Payton is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and a junior at CMU. Payton is majoring in Interior Design with a minor in Leadership. Her involvements include being a Resident Assistant in Celani Hall, the SHC Hall Council Staff Liaison, and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She is also involved with the Leadership Institute.

Stephanie Ralls – Facilitator

Steph is a recent graduate from Belleville, Michigan. She majored in Integrative Public Relations with minors in Leadership and Public Affairs. Her involvements on campus have stretched from Alternative Breaks, Special Olympics, Leadership Safari, Lunch Buddies, and Zeta Theta Pi.

Toni Schafer – Facilitator

Toni is a junior from Canadian Lakes, Michigan. She is majoring in Health Administration and minoring in Math and Leadership. Around campus Toni is a Leadership Safari Guide, involved in the Pre-Dental Society, and is a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha.

Tristen Roman – Facilitator

Tristen is a junior from Traverse City, Michigan majoring in Health Fitness and minoring in Psychology. He is active on campus while dedicating his time to Pre-Physical Therapy Club, Eta Alpha Epsilon, the Honors program, and intramural sports.

Xandro DeOliveira – Facilitator

Xandro is a recent graduate who hails from Novi, Michigan. He graduated with a major in International Business and a minor in Spanish. During his time at CMU, he broke hearts as a member of the A Capella group, Fish N Chips.

Salina Bosworth 

Salina is going into her super senior year and will be student teaching in the fall. She is an English major with minors in History & Speech with plans of being a middle or high school teacher. At CMU, her involvements include Resident Assistant for Robinson & Barnes Halls, the Alternative Breaks board, and the National Council of Teachers of English.

​Wesley Down 

Wes is a recent graduate from Highland, Michigan. He graduated with a Biomedical Sciences major and Sociology minor. He was actively involved around campus including being a Campus Ambassador and a Leadership Safari Guide. He is also a member of Sigma Pi, a fraternity on campus.
