The mission of Student Disability Services is to assist in the creation and maintenance of a community environment where a disability is neutral; a community where services are integrated throughout the university; a community where students with disabilities have an equal opportunity to fully participate. Student Disability Services cooperates through partnerships with students, faculty, and staff to promote individual student's independence, academic success and career goals.

Student Receiving Diploma ImageCentral Michigan University is committed to providing students with disabilities the academic accommodations and auxiliary aids necessary to ensure access to all university services, programs and activities. In addition to the university's campus-wide efforts to promote access and inclusion, students with disabilities are further accommodated based on specific individual needs. The Office of Student Disability Services is responsible for determining these accommodations.  We provide services and assistance to enrolled students with permanent or temporary disabilities.

The registration process is simple but can take 2-3 weeks to complete. The "Register as a Student with a Disability" page will walk you through the process.
