OVERVIEW

The Capital City Internship Program (CCIP) provides CMU students the opportunity to gain experience, network, and learn the critical role government plays on campus and in our communities. CCIP takes place in Downtown Lansing, with internships available in a variety of offices and departments:

* OPEN TO ALL Students

* Internships available Fall and Spring semesters (Paid and Unpaid)

* FREE TRANSPORTATION to Downtown Lansing is provided by CMU.

* Academic credit can be obtained upon approval from a faculty advisor.

* SPRING - October 1st

* SUMMER - February 1st

*Note that these are suggested dates to start a conversation with Megan Morris in order to successfully land an internship for the following semester. Although it can be harder the longer you wait, Megan is open to conversations at any time.

SUGGESTED DEADLINES FOR SECURING AN INTERNSHIP:

SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES

Ballenger-Browne Endowment - Provides financial support to political science students completing internships within all branches of the state and federal government. The endowment provides students with a stipend for transportation and other expenses related to the internship activities.
