OVERVIEW

The Capital City Internship Program (CCIP) provides CMU students the opportunity to gain experience, network, and learn the critical role government plays on campus and in our communities. CCIP takes place in Downtown Lansing, with internships available in a variety of offices and departments:

* OPEN TO ALL Students

* Internships available ALL SEMESTERS (Paid and Unpaid)

* FREE TRANSPORTATION to Downtown Lansing is provided by CMU. Transportation will be provided on Monday and Wednesdays each week (leaving campus by 11:00 AM, returning before 6:00 PM).

* Academic credit can be obtained upon approval from a faculty advisor.

STEP 2: INTEREST & APPOINTMENT

After researching potential internships, fill out the CCIP interest form and schedule an appointment with Career Services for assistance in applying for desired internships.

SUPPLEMENTAL RESOURCES

Ballenger-Browne Endowment - Provides financial support to political science students completing internships within all branches of the state and federal government. The endowment provides students with a stipend for transportation and other expenses related to the internship activities.
