The Career Development Center oversees several programs that employers can get involved with. Each semester, we do training for our Mock Interview and REACH student advisors. Employers participate in these trainings to provide insight to our student volunteers on application materials and interviews. This allows advisors to more effectively share knowledge and resources with the students they meet with.
We also collaborate with First Impressions, a program that provides free professional attire to students based on need for upcoming events and interviews. The clothing is donated by employers as well as CMU and surrounding community members.
Another great way for employers to get involved is through Etiquette Dinners and other sponsorship activities.
Lastly, the Employer Partnership Program is a platform to assist companies with building their campus
brand and better connect with CMU’s student talent. Our office values its relationships with every employer equally and will always provide
services such as online job postings, on-campus interviewing, student
group presentations, and employer panel programs free of charge. Some
companies or organizations may choose to further market their brand by participating in the Employer Partnership Program to gain additional
exposure and develop relationships with our students on a more personal
level.
