LGBTQ Services is offering Safe Zone training to promote a safe campus for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff.
Training includes definitions, dialogue around isms and
microaggressions, and action tips to work towards a more safe campus. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are all welcome. No registration required.
Services would like to invite staff and faculty to register for one of
two 5-week development opportunities around Navigating Triggers: How to Control Your Reactions and Respond Effectively.
this five-week development we will engage the Triggering Event Cycle,
develop skills and tools to stay present in the moment, and overtime
expand our capacity to continue to engage through experiences that in
the past might have deskilled us.
We are capping each opportunity at 10 participants and ask that you commit to all 5-weeks if you sign up. All
materials will be provided for you. You will receive an Outlook invite
as confirmation to your registration. If you have not received
confirmation within two weeks, please contact Cheryl Gonzalez at
