STEP knows that the transfer and acclimation processes can be a confusing time for our students.

You may be asking yourself, "What does CMU offer? How will my courses transfer from my community/tribal college? What do I do once I get there? Where do I even start?" Well, we have good news! You can start by clicking on the "Transfer Process Resources" and the "Academic Resources for Current CMU Students" links in the navigation pane to your right. You can also email us at MiCUP-STEP@cmich.edu, call us at 989-774-2508, or make an appointment online.

The Student Transition Enrichment Program (STEP) at Central Michigan University is a great place to continue your pursuit of a four-year degree. STEP reaches out to first generation and/or Federal Pell grant eligible transfer students to help them navigate through the maze of  a four-year institution. The program is sponsored by the State of Michigan, Workforce Development Agency, and King Chavez Parks (KCP) Initiative.
