We are currently exploring both an in person and virtual camp. As things develop, we will stay transparent. The final decision of which type camp will be decided by March 2021.
As part of the registration process, you may choose one of the following dates:
Camp I - May 16-18, 2021
Camp II - May 21-23, 2021
Camp I - May 17, 2021
Camp II - May 19, 2021
Camp III - May 21, 2021
A $125 (In-person) or $50 (Virtual) conference fee is required to reserve your space. This is the only expense associated with attending this conference. Students whose financial situation makes the fee a burden may access a Waiver Acceptance Agreement Request Form found below.
Each camp has limited spaces, so you are encouraged to register and make payment as soon as possible.
Eligible students include the following:
- High school seniors who are admitted to CMU
- High school juniors who are thinking about attending CMU
- Transfer students who are admitted to CMU
For admitted high school seniors and transfer students, if you do not know your Global ID and password, please contact the CMU Helpdesk (link to their site) at 989-774-3662 on Mon-Fri, 8-5pm. For high school juniors, please leave the Campus ID and Global ID blank.
Registration for 2021 will be available in February!
Requests for cancellations must be submitted in writing and received by Leadership Camp prior to May 3, 2021, in order to receive a refund. Cancellation requests may be sent to Lcamp@cmich.edu or faxed to (989)-774-6410. There will be no penalty if the student is unable to attend the conference and notifies the Leadership Camp office prior to the cancellation deadline. Refunds will generally be issued within ten (10) days following receipt of the request.
Fee Waiver Policy
Leadership Camp has always provided a fee waiver opportunity for students whose financial situation makes the $50 conference fee a financial burden. High school seniors and transfer students who have been admitted for the fall have filled out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) form **, and for whom it has been determined that the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) is less than $10,000 per year are eligible. High school juniors who are considering CMU as their college of choice and whose financial situation makes the conference fee a burden may also apply. Application for this waiver will be kept confidential. Please note that Waivers will not be applied after Leadership Camp has taken place.
The Waiver Request Form will be available once registration opens in February.

For information regarding housing and/or other accommodations in order to participate in Leadership Camp, please provide details under special needs when you complete your registration. You may also call 989-774-6601 between 8am-5pm, M-F. Requests for sign language interpreters must be made at least two weeks in advance of the program.
