Damon Brown - Director of Student Activities & Involvement
Responsible for daily operation of the Office of Student Activities & Involvement. He oversees all campus programming, including CMU Program Board and all SAI marketing efforts.
Damon has been at CMU since 1997. Prior to coming to Student Life in fall of 2006, he worked in University Recreation as the Coordinator of Intramural & Club Sports. He was responsible for coordinating a comprehensive Intramural Sports program that featured over 30 individual, dual & team intramural sports and over 25 club sports.
Damon received his M.A. in Sports Administration from Central Michigan University. He earned a B.A. in Business Management & B.S. in Sports Sciences from Ohio University.
Danielle Rossman - Assistant Director for Student Organizations
Dani is responsible for assisting and supporting the over 300 student organization on CMU's campus. She also provides support for Engage Central.
Dani has been with Student Activities & Involvement since September of 2012. Dani received her Masters in Higher Education Administration at CMU. She is currently pursing a Ph.D. in Higher, Adult, and Lifelong Education. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Psychology from CMU.
Molly Schuneman - Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life
Molly advises the fraternities and sororities on campus and works with three graduate assistants to make sure that the CMU fraternity and sorority community is the best that it can be. She creates leadership development opportunities and initiatives for the community.
Molly received her M.S. in College Student Development from Oklahoma State University. She earned her B.A. in Dance and Women’s Studies from the University of Iowa. She also served as a national consultant for Alpha Chi Omega sorority for two years.
Amy McDonald - Administrative Clerk
Amy has been with CMU since 2015 in the Office of Residence Life.
She has been in the Office of Student Activities & Involvement since January 2020, as the office professional.
Amy oversees our student support staff as well as the administrative functions of the office.
Amy lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband and three children.
Jackie Townsend - Graduate Assistant for Student Activities
Stephanie is a Graduate Assistant working under Student Activities. Stephanie is serving as lead for campus events such as IMPACT, SAI On the Road and Siblings Weekend.
Jackie received her BA in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Theater Arts Performance at Bethune-Cookman University prior to attending CMU. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Higher Education Administration.
Josh Oslzewski - Graduate Assistant for Student Activities
Josh is a Graduate Assistant working under Student Activities to lead events such as Homecoming week and Up All Night. He also assists in overseeing SAI's social media presence.
Josh completed his undergraduate work at Ferris State University where he majored in public relations with a minor in digital marketing. He's currently pursuing a Master's in Higher Education Administration at Central Michigan University.
Kierra Jackson - Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life
Kierra is a Graduate Assistant working with Fraternity and Sorority Life. She is responsible for advising National Pan-Hellenic Council which is a collaborative organization of the nine historically African American fraternities and sororities.
Kierra received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies from Clemson University. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Higher Education Administration at Central Michigan University.
Katie Haas - Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life
Katie graduated from CMU in December 2018 with a BAA in Fashion Merchandising with marketing and retailing minors. She's now pursuing an M.S. in Apparel Product Development and Merchandising Technology.
After gaining industry experience, her end goal is to become a professor in a university's fashion program. In undergrad, she was extremely involved with the Panhellenic Council and her chapter. She's excited to serve in this role as the Panhellenic advisor to give back to the community that gave so much to her.
Madison Martin - Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations
Madison is a Graduate Assistant working with student organization development. She oversees Student Organization Specialists and the Student Budget Allocation Committee.
Madison completed her undergraduate work at Saginaw Valley State University and earned a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Public Administration with a focus on nonprofits.
Moriah Cooper - Graduate Assistant for Student Activities
Moriah is a Graduate Assistant responsible for developing the Peer Involvement Advising Program. She helps with the Student Budget Allocation Committee as well as other SAI campus programs and events, including Get Organized, and MainStage.
Moriah obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science: Kinesiology from CMU. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health.
Michael Rafo - Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life
Michael is a Graduate Assistant working with Fraternity & Sorority Life. He is responsible for advising the Interfraternity Council, that is the umbrella organization for ten fraternities on campus, conducting assessment and advising the honorary society, Order of Omega.
Michael received his Bachelor's of Science in Sociology with minors in Leadership and Marketing from Eastern Michigan University in 2018. He is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration at Central Michigan University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2020.
Girard Brown - Graduate Assistant for Student Activities
Girard is a Graduate Assistant working with Program Board.
Girard was highly involved during his undergrad at Siena Heights University where he studied Communication. This pointed him in the direction of his future career. Girard is currently pursuing a Masters in Higher Education Administration with the hopes to foster student growth through programming whether it be in leadership, student activities or housing.
