Survivors of sexual assault often have physical injuries; even if none are visible, there may be internal injuries that the survivor is unaware of. For this reason, it's important to suggest the survivor get medical attention. If it has been longer than 96 hours, or the survivor does not wish to pursue evidence collection and consider legal prosecution, please consider visiting your local Emergency Room or physician to receive medical treatment.
