The purpose of the first meeting with a Conduct Proceedings Officer (CPO) is to determine if a student has committed a violation listed in the
Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities and Disciplinary Procedures Section 3.2 (Specific Regulations Concerning Student Conduct).
What you should expect during your CPO Meeting
- Introduction
- CPO reads report provided by staff
- Student states his/her case
- CPO determines if a violation has occurred
- CPO discusses possible sanctions, fines, and/or next steps
Possible outcomes of a meeting with a CPO
- CPO determines Student is not in violation
- Student admits violation
- Student or CPO requests a Hearing
