Center for Community Counseling and Development (Not available when classes are not in session)

Offers free services, including:

  • individual counseling
  • couples, family and other relationship counseling
  • assistance with personal development and improvement, and decision-making
  • counseling for emotional struggles and painful events
  • career and employment counseling
  • counseling for transition issues and school difficulties.

This center does not treat significant psychological/medical disorders or those who are in acute distress.

Psychological Training and Consultation Center (PTCC) (Not availble when classes are not in session)

Offers outpatient mental health services. Fees are adjusted on a sliding scale and range from $5 to $60 per session. The center does not bill insurance companies and cannot guarantee services will be reimbursed by a third-party payer.

CMU Health – Student Health Services

An on-campus clinic with board-certified family practice doctors and licensed physician assistants.

The Central Michigan University Police Department works in partnership with the entire campus community in order to maintain a safe and secure living and learning environment. R.I.S.E. (Formerly Women’s Aid)
