Position Overview: Develop and lead group cycling classes
that utilize safe and effective movements through warm up, aerobic, conditioning,
muscle strengthening, and cool down activities.
included but not limited to:
· Major Duties: Ensure
safety of participants by understanding general signs and symptoms of physical
exertion; general knowledge of exercise recommendation principles; ensure
safety of participants by reporting any facility problems; answer questions regarding
routine movement and another related exercise concerns.
CMU student (undergraduate or
graduate) who have prior experience teaching aerobic classes. (preferred). Must
be comfortable in front of groups; appreciation of individual skills and
diversity of class participants; ability to provide a positive environment free
of discrimination for all class participants.
Adult, Child and Infant CPR and Standard First
Aid (American Red Cross –preferred); Cycling Certification (required)
and Right to Know training.
