Ticket Information


Only certain performances with the School of Music are ticketed.  For a list of all School of Music Events including un-ticketed performances, please visit the School of Music's events page

Emeriti tickets must be reserved with a Ticket Central agent over the phone or in person at Ticket Central before the day of the show.   Seats are not guaranteed for these tickets and must be reserved in advance.  College of Arts and Media Faculty/Staff tickets must be reserved with the School of Music in advance.

Tickets for "Guest Artist" concerts and special events can be purchased through Ticket Central Online or by calling 989-774-3045. Tickets available at the door are limited and cash only, patrons are strongly encouraged to purchase ahead of time online or over the phone. NEW for 2019-2020, all ticketed events will feature the same prices of $7 and $10. All performances take place in Staples Family Concert Hall unless otherwise listed.

Two Types of Events

General Admission

  • $10 Adults, $7 Seniors/Students 
  • Free for students enrolled in MUS 097 and MUS 114.
  • Includes all "Guest Artist" concerts, Jazz Weekend, and Festival Chorus.

Reserved Seating

  • $10 Adults, $7 Seniors/Students
  • Juletide & Opera performances only.

Four Ways to Purchase tickets

  1. Online at Ticket Central
  2. Over the phone by calling 989-774-3045.
  3. In person at the box office in the Kulhavi Events Center.
  4. At the door, prior to the event (cash only for guest artist concerts).

Three Ways to Deliver Your Tickets:

  • Tickets@Home (no additional charge)
    You may use these tickets on your mobile phone or print your tickets at home. If printing yourself, make sure to print out all tickets in your order. Each ticket should be printed on a separate page (8.5" x 11"). Tickets can be printed in color or black and white. These tickets should be treated like cash and kept secure.
  • Will Call ($2.00 charge)
    Your tickets will be available at the Box Office. Please have proper ID and bring your credit card used to purchase the tickets to the concert.
  • Mail ($5.00 charge)
    Your tickets will be mailed to you via United States Postal Service.

Please note, a Ticket Central convenience fee of $1.75 per ticket will be applied to all transactions. For "Guest Artist" concerts, tickets will be sold at the door starting 30 minutes prior to the event start time. We can only accept cash for tickets sold at the door

School of Music Performances take place in the Staples Family Concert Hall or Chamichian Recital Hall, both located in the Music Building at the Central Michigan University Campus.
