The Volunteer Center offers a large variety of year-round volunteer opportunities. You must be enrolled at CMU to participate in the Volunteer Center's activities and programs and there are many opportunities listed on our OrgSync page.

For Students

OrgSync is a tool used by the Mary Ellen Brandell Center to list all of our service opportunities, including Volunteer Center Events, open sessions for David Garcia Project and Safer Sex Patrol, as well as applications to participate in programs like Lunch Buddies and Adopt-A-Grandparent. You'll also be able to RSVP for Service Ambassador trips and Alternative Breaks on our OrgSync page, which are first come - first served.

Below are some simple steps to connecting with any of our programs or service events via OrgSync.

Step 1: You will need to create an account to connect with any of our OrgSync events, which requires only a Central Michigan University Global ID.

Step 2: Connect to our OrgSync page by enter "Mary Ellen Brandell Volunteer Center" in the search bar. Clicking the green button marked "Join Now" at the right hand side of the screen connects your OrgSync profile with our page.

Step 3: Click on the "Events" tab to view upcoming events. You can adjust your search by marking on and off different categories of volunteer events at the right. Find an event that interests you and click on it.

Step 4: Read over carefully the details explaining the location and time of the event, as well as contact information if you have any questions. If you are sure you want to volunteer for this event, click "Yes" to RSVP.
