List of Programs
A co-mentoring program that seeks to foster positive, meaningful relationships with local seniors and elders.
An immersive service experience focused on a variety of social justice issues in communities across the country.
America Counts and Reads
A paid tutoring program that assists and encourages increased reading and math skills in local elementary children.
David Garcia Project
A program that educates CMU students about disabilities through simulations and reflection.
A mentoring program which teaches elementary students about healthy choices and active lifestyles.
Safer Sex Patrol
An educational program that aims to educate CMU students about sexual health and risks of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
A series of one day service projects, every Friday during the academic year, where students volunteer with a local non-profit. Transportation and a t-shirt are provided.
Student Food Pantry
A resource working to alleviate some of the challenges and hardships of food insecurity on CMU's campus. The food pantry will offer supplemental food to any currently enrolled student experiencing food insecurity.
Volunteer Center Events
The Volunteer Center hosts a variety of events and on-campus service projects throughout the year including: Issue Day (free social justice conference), Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, Be My Neighbor Day, and the Foster Care Fleece Blanket Project.
