Safer Sex Program (SSP) is one of the many student volunteer program run by the Mary Ellen Brandell Volunteer Center. SSP is dedicated to educating the community about the importance of safer sex and abstinence as means to decrease the risk of spreading sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Thanks to the devotion of CMU volunteers, SSP is able to promote safer sex and abstinence on campus and in the community. SSP distributes a number of safer sex resources including latex condoms, dental dams, receptive-partner condoms, and educational literature about safer sex and abstinence.
