Where can your vision take you?

In 1997 an accident altered Lonnie Bedwell's life forever. He became blind. Lonnie's story is a message of perseverance, adaptability, and the ability to face adversity and life-changing events.

Lonnie Bedwell is a Military Veteran, extreme adventure athlete, award-winning author, and speaker, who became blind in a hunting accident in 1997.  Lonnie was the National Geographic 2015 Adventurer of the Year, has kayaked some of the most challenging whitewater in the world, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and summited several of North America’s highest mountains.  Mr. Bedwell is dedicated to helping veterans and many others enjoy full lives, and while he is an advocate for the blind, blindness does not define him or his efforts on behalf of others.  We are excited to be inspired by Lonnie’s story and his message of perseverance, adaptability, and continued ability in the face of adversity/a life-changing event.
