ArcGIS Online Competition for High School and Middle School Students

An open blank notebook sitting on top of a map.

Michigan students in grades 4-12 can share their love of the Mitten through ArcGIS story maps, and have a chance to win $100.

Esri's ArcGIS Online Competition is open to all high school (grades 9-12) and middle school (grades 4-8) students in participating states in the US who can gather, create, analyze, interpret, and present data via an ArcGIS StoryMap. Esri, a Geographic Information System Company, challenges US students to conduct and share a research project about something in their home state as part of a national competition.

Each school may submit up to five projects to the state competition. The 10 best projects submitted to each state (five middle school and five high school) will receive $100 from Esri.

  • Online Competition Registration Deadline: March 15, 2023.
  • Entry Deadline: March 30, 2023.
