UC Renovation Project

Project Overview

Overall project objective is to increase student use of the Bovee University Center by increasing the amount, variety, and quality of dedicated student space.

Project scope was developed through survey and interviews of students, faculty, and staff.

The project is targeting certification under LEED – Commercial Interiors.

Total Project Budget: $5,000,000.00

Program Complete March 2008
Schematic Design Complete April 2009
Design Development Complete December 2009
Construction Documents Complete September 2010
Project Bid October 2010
Construction Start November 2010
Construction Complete December 2011

Project Status

Phase 1 new work is nearing completion on third and second floor areas.
Phase 2 demolition work continues in the lower level east floor areas.
Phase 2 architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing work is underway.
Phase 2 furniture has been procured.

Upcoming Milestones

Phase 2 lower level east and north to be completed July 2011.
