CMU 403(b) Basic Retirement Plan contribution vendors are TIAA-CREF and Fidelity Investments.

 

Fidelity mutual funds are an available Tax-Deferred Investment (TDI) option within CMU's 403b retirement plan.  Access to your Fidelity account may be made by mail, phone, or through the internet at Fidelity's NetBenefits site.

 

   

TIAA-CREF is a retirement program available at CMU. TIAA, the Teacher's Insurance Annuity Association, offers a traditional annuity, while CREF, the College Retirement Equities Fund, offers a selection of mutual funds.

Access to your TIAA-CREF account may be made by mail, phone, or our recommendation for its ease of use, is their Inter/ACT program available at the TIAA-CREF web site  or to enroll:

Michigan's Public School Employees Retirement System (MPSERS):

A defined benefit plan that is open only to those employees who have participated in MPSERS prior to 1/1/1996 at one of the following seven institutions: Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, Lake Superior State University, Michigan Technological University, Northern Michigan University, or Western Michigan University.

Participants in these plans have their contributions electronically deposited to their corresponding account after each payroll, and these amounts, including University contributions, appear on your earnings statement.
