BI-WEEKLY (HOURLY) EMPLOYEES WORKING COMPRESSED SCHEDULES
When an employee is permitted to work a compressed schedule they will either work:
A. Monday - Thursday, 10 hours per day
or
B. Tuesday - Friday, 10 hours per day
Leave time must be reported using the following increments: 5 hours for vacation (e.g. half-day increments), 1 hour for personal, ½ hour for sick, and ¼ hour for comp time.
If the holiday falls on a scheduled day you are only entitled to 8 hours of holiday pay and will need to use 2 hours of leave time or unpaid time to make up for their scheduled 10 hour day.
If the holiday falls on your non-scheduled day, you would take a different day off that is approved by your supervisor and record it as 8 hours holiday pay and 2 hours of leave time or unpaid time.
Call Payroll on how to record this in TimeClock Plus.
SEMI-MONTHLY (SALARIED) EMPLOYEES WORKING COMPRESSED SCHEDULES
When an employee is permitted to work a compressed schedule they will have one of two different schedules:

Leave time must be recorded in 5 hour (e.g. half-day) increments.
If a holiday falls on an employee's non-scheduled day, the employee would take the holiday on a different day that is approved by their supervisor.
If a holiday falls on an employee's scheduled day, the employee will be paid for the day.
B. 8 (9 hour) days and 1 (8 hour) day
Leave time would be reported as 4.5 hour (e.g. half-day) increments for your 9 hour work day and 4 hour (e.g. half-day) increments for your 8 hour work day.
If the holiday falls on an employee's non-scheduled day, the employee would take the holiday on a different day off that is approved by their supervisor. An employee will record this day as "Holiday".
