In response to Governor Whitmer's "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order the Central mailroom will
remain operational on a limited basis until further notice:
Wednesday, March 25, until the University reopens for regular business all
incoming USPS mail will be sorted on Wednesday’s each week and will be
available for pick up only; mail will not be delivered to campus buildings.
Any UPS or FedEx packages that have been delivered to the central
mailroom will also be available for pickup at the designated time.
In an attempt to
maintain social distance, each building (except Warriner Hall – please see
follow up note from Mitchell Hartman) will need to assign one individual that
will be responsible for picking up the building’s mail from the Central
Mailroom. The person assigned should email the mailroom directly at Richt1lj@cmich.edu before
the end of business day on Tuesday to receive the assigned pick up time for
each week. You must pick up at that time because only one building’s mail will
be available at a time.
If you miss your 10
minute time frame, it will be available for pick up the following week.
There will be no admittance into the mail room, all mail will be placed in the
Combined Service Building Lobby.
Please stamp and place
any outgoing mail in your local USPS mailbox or take to the Mt. Pleasant United
States Post Office for processing.
We are sorry for any
inconvenience this may create, however we are doing our best at keeping us all
safe. If you need special arrangements, please email Richt1lj@mcich.edu,
and we will do our best to meet any special needs.
On behalf of Linda
Richter and the entire mailroom staff – we appreciate your patience and
