All benefit election changes MUST be made during the enrollment period and will be binding for the 2016-17 plan year, July 1, 2016 - June 30, 2017.

Computer workstations are available in Ronan lab, Woldt lab, and in the Park Library.

April 18

NEW! ALEX online system available. ALEX is a new interactive personal benefits counselor available to help employees choose the benefit options that make the the most sense for them and their families.                                      

April 26 – May 13

Informational meetings: Group, webinar, one-on-one sessions and open computer lab. See meeting schedule for dates, times and locations.

May 13

Open enrollment ends at 5 p.m. ET

Mid-June - NEW

BCBS mails new cards to employees electing the Advantage HDHP to replace current BCBS and CVS cards.

Newly enrolled high deductible health plan (HDHP) participants will receive a Welcome Kit and debit card(s) from Health Equity, BCBS and MESSA’s HSA partner.

July 1

2016-17 benefit elections effective

July 14

Biweekly payroll will include the new premium cost share (prorated)

July 15

Semi monthly payroll will include the new premium cost share

July 31

Deadline for departments to communicate with Faculty Personnel Services regarding Fixed-term Faculty assignments in order for the employee to be eligible for a 2016-17 plan year flexible spending account (FSA).
