9 and 10 Month Staff (summer leave)

‚ÄčAll regular employees whose appointments are during the academic year are placed on an unpaid summer leave each May/June.

Employees are not responsible for paying for their benefits until they return from their summer leave in July/August. HR/Benefits will then apply those unpaid benefits costs on the employees 1st paycheck upon return to active work.  If an employee does not return to active work, they will be responsible for payment of their employee benefit premiums owed for coverage that was continued during the dates of their summer leave.
